Our Purpose

Yahya Playland is being established to make play accessible, safe, and meaningful for children with special needs and to give families a place where they feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Too often, traditional play spaces exclude or overwhelm. We are here to change that. Our centre is built on lived experience, community input, and a deep belief that inclusion is not optional—it is essential.

Our Vision

A world where every child, regardless of ability, can play freely, safely, and joyfully. We envision communities where inclusive design is the norm, not the exception, and where families raising children with diverse needs feel empowered, connected, and welcomed.

Our Mission

To create a purpose-built play centre that offers:

  • Accessible equipment for all abilities.
  • Safety harnesses and padding in every zone.
  • Dedicated support staff trained in inclusive care.
  • Sensory-friendly environments that honour neurodiversity.
  • Programs and partnerships that uplift families and build community.
  • We are not just building a play centre—we are building trust, belonging, and a better future for every child.

Our Founding Story

Yahya Playland was born from lived experience, navigating public spaces with my own child and seeing how often families like mine were left out. When I take my son as toddler to public parks or indoor play centres, all the equipment were not suitable for him, let alone wheelchair bound child. I had to assist him physically when getting on slide platform and lifting him up to help bounce on trampoline. It has become physically impossible & unsafe as 12 years old.

I’ve reach out to parent groups, special development schools & therapy service providers and consensus feedback is the need for a dedicated space that is suitable and safe. Lived frustration, hearing their hopes and frustrations, gap in the market, I felt the weight of responsibility and decided to build something better.

This centre is not just a business, it is a place every child deserves to feel joy, play safely, and belong. Families raising children with special needs should not have to choose between inclusion and dignity. I have poured my heart into this space, and I am building it with the community, not just for it.
